Daniel watched Darren’s face cloud over. A week of TV spots and radio interviews had left the singer worn out. He could see it, how could Leonie not?
“Darren, I said we need to go.” Leonie demanded.
“No.” Darren replied through clenched teeth.
“Darren—”
“Back off, Leonie!” Daniel said, before hauling the singer into his room where he slammed and locked the door.
How to get Darren back to his jovial mood?
“I’m not going.”
“I don’t want you to.”
“Y-you don’t?”
“No. I think we’ll just disappear today.”
“I’d love that.” Darren smiled.
“Well, let’s go then.”
