Alone by LindaG

En masse, they ostracized the strange boy.
He was chubby and quiet, a dreamer who was often sent to the headmaster’s office for his lack of attention. His teachers couldn’t fault him though, because his grades were very good.
As he grew, he became flamboyant, garish, extroverted. All designed to hide the loneliness and pain of his solitary childhood. Pain caused from lack of acceptance, even by his family.
But people loved the new him. Everyone clamored for a piece of him.
Everyone but the one he wanted.
They had a rapport that neither could explain, but it wasn’t love.
