Setting Suns by Adelaide Morgan

Another nameless hotel in another nameless city, somewhere in the world. The names evade me, all merging and blurring into one confused mesh. It doesn't matter, of course. None of it matters. The only thing I care about right now is the moment.
Lying here, Daniel's arms tightening around me as he sleeps. I in turn curl closer around him, twining my legs between his even more. My head rests on his chest, my arms around his waist. He sighs, smile playing across his face, content. As am I.
I raise my head on a whim to gaze out of the window. Dusk is slowly darkening the summer sky, rays of colour spreading out, the sun dipping steadily beyond the horizon.
