~Chapter Six~
It lasted longer then he thought it would. When they parted Daniel was greeted by a shocked look on his love's face. "I-I'm sorry- I shouldn't have." Daniel backed up, suddenly wanting to be as far away from Darren as he could- But to his surprise, Darren stepped towards him, taking his hand into his, "Don't be- please." Daniel melted at the sight of those eyes- thousands of emotions shown through them- but the most prevalent one- was love. "I-I didn't know how to tell you how I felt-." Daniel was suddenly flustered- the speech he had thought up totally forgotten. Darren drew in a breath, placing a hand on Daniel's face, "Why didn't you tell me before?" Daniel regarded him a little shocked- then he smiled broadly- his feelings were being returned- and he could not have been happier- "Dazza- does this mean- that you- you-?" Darren blushed a little, "I didn't want to say anything either- I didn't know how you felt about me-." They both laughed at the idea of them keeping the same secret from each other- Daniel stepped forward and hugged his new found love tightly, "You have no idea how happy I am." "You have no idea how relieved I am!" Darren exclaimed, grinning. Daniel ran his hands along his love's sides, leaning in for another kiss- this one more tender and passionate then the one before- Darren sighed, slipping his thin arms around Daniel's neck as Daniel tightened his grip around the smaller man's waist- Daniel wondered whether anyone was home to walk in on them but that thought was pushed to the back of his mind as he felt Darren's mouth open- his tongue questionably touching his. Without hesitation Daniel explored Darren's small mouth- memorizing every corner, tucking it away in his memories- They broke the kiss, but Daniel didn't lose contact with the angel's body, moving his mouth down to suck on Darren's neck. Darren moaned at the sensation, his hands beginning to wander down Daniel's shirt- Daniel's were already under Darren's. Their breathing had picked up significantly- and suddenly the cool spring day was heating up significantly- Daniel's nimble fingers brushed gently over Darren's nipples- not knowing that was one of his most sensitive places- He soon realized that and with a mischievous grin, lifted up the baggy gray sweatshirt and placed his mouth against the left one. Darren let out a gasp, then a groan as Daniel swirled his tongue around- delighting as it instantly hardened- "J-Jonesy-." Darren murmured against Daniel's neck as they lowered to the ground, Daniel attacking Darren's other nipple after lifting his sweatshirt off. The blue button down polo Daniel wore soon found it's way next to Darren's sweatshirt- Their mouths collided into a battle as they feverishly roamed each other's bodies- feeling each new contour and delighting in it- Neither Darren, nor Daniel could speak anymore- words were gone- replaced with pants and satisfied groans- Darren's tilted his head back as Daniel nipped at his neck, rubbing his aching arousal against his cotton boxers. Daniel never felt so much pleasure before- and he wasn't even fucking the guy either- His jeans were so painfully tight he couldn't take it anymore and was very grateful when Darren quickly pulled them down- revealing his own briefs- Daniel captured Darren's mouth once again- rolling on top of him- wishing he could be buried deep inside of him- But he didn't have any condoms on him- or lube- he didn't want to mess with that now- Just wanted release- It didn't take very long- they both came nearly simultaneously- staining their underpants which each other's come. Gasping for air and still not over the shock of it Daniel pulled Darren to him in a sitting position- running his hands slowly up and down Darren's form- Darren smiled up at his love, both their eyes gleaming as they tenderly kissed- Daniel not ever wanting to let go of his love- But the sound of an old car lumbering up the road made them jump- Disentangling themselves they threw on their clothes as quickly as they could- When Darren's parents arrived in the doorway a few minutes later Darren and Daniel were seated at the kitchen, drinking tea, and talking about nothing in particular.
~Chapter Seven~
It was strange. Daniel sat on the porch one sunny afternoon in late May, thinking back on the last six months. Life could not have been better- though he wasn't really that popular in school- he had made a few friends- was getting to know the people around town- and even though he still felt like the new kid, he was beginning to find his niche. And then there was Darren. That beautiful angel that Daniel could not stop thinking about. They had been dating for a couple months now- sneaking a heated kiss when no one was looking every now and then. It was perfect, they never fought, were madly in love- but Daniel wanted to show his affection any time he wanted. He couldn't walk down the street holding Darren's hand, couldn't put his arm around him at a restaurant- couldn't even give him a peck on the cheek before class- Any of those actions would be suicide- and the fact that he would get beat up for even proclaiming his love made him incredibly melancholy. So they kept their relationship in private- the circumstances not letting them show their love physically very much- Not that that really mattered- just being able to hold his angel made a horrible day worth while. But it was hard for both of them and Daniel often found himself in a bad mood- His parents passed it off as hormones- typical teen angst- if only they had known- None of his friends had to go through what he had to- it hurt so badly to see them making out with their girlfriend of the week- What was the big deal if he did the same with Darren? They were as much in love as any other couple- shouldn't they have the same rights? What made matters worse was that for some reason Daniel's love felt like it was his fault- "If I hadn't kept going out of my way to talk to you then I wouldn't have screwed up everything- I should have left you alone so it wouldn't be so hard now." Daniel realized Darren was nearly in tears and he sighed into the phone, "Who said what today Darren? I'll kick their ass." There was another thing- the taunts. People didn't really bother Daniel because he was tall and athletic- but Darren was short and slight- the perfect target to be picked on. "They didn't say anything Danny." "Bullshit-." Daniel fumed, "Tomorrow I'm kicking some ass. No one picks on my love." "Oh Jonesy." And Daniel smiled, knowing he had lifted Darren's wounded spirit if only for the time being.
~Chapter Eight~
School was out- summer in full swing. Darren was always out in the fields- working his father's land- trying to coax the corn crops to grow- Everyday on the way to the grocery store where he worked, Daniel would ride his bicycle to Darren's- finding his love hot and sweaty with the sun beating down upon him- What a god. "Hey love." "Hey-." Darren smiled as Daniel took him into his arms and kissed him. Darren looked behind him and sighed, relieved that his father was cursing the tractor and not paying any attention to the pair. "Want to go to the City with me?" Daniel patted his bike, "I'll let you ride on the handlebars." Darren giggled, "Sure- I'd love to." "And then after that we can go get drunk at a bar- dance the night away and have passionate sex until the sun comes up." They both laughed, fantasizing like this always lifted their spirits - Darren wiped his brow with his shirtsleeve, "What time do you get off work?" "Five- I'll swing by to visit, how's that sound?" Darren nodded, "Sounds wonderful." Looking around, they checked to see that know one was watching, then Daniel leaned in and set a gentle kiss on Darren's lips, "I love you baby." Darren beamed, "I love you." Another kiss, then Daniel was gone, whisking down the dirt pathways into town.

Daniel frowned as he stared out the window- dark clouds were beginning to gather in the distance. "Hey guys- why don't you go on and get home." Daniel glanced at his manager who stood, broom in hand, "Radio says we're gonna get a nasty storm this afternoon." Though Daniel hated storms, he was happy to be let off of work early, more time to spend with Darren. He took his dirty green apron off and threw it in the back, a few goodbyes to his fellow co-workers- then off to Darren's. The sky was getting darker by the minute- Daniel was beginning to worry that he wouldn't even get to Darren's before the coming storm would fall down upon him. He just reached the edge of his love's property before it started to rain. Darren was at the storm cellar door adjacent to the house, holding it open and motioning wildly for Daniel to run. Daniel bolted across the yard and skitted inside just before the clouds opened and all hell was let loose. "There's a tornado warning Danny!" Darren looked scared as he latched the door shut and hurried down the stone steps where his love awaited him. "Shh- it's all right love." Daniel gathered Darren into his arms, kissing his forehead as the wind whistled loudly above them, "We're safe here, don't worry." Darren whimpered a bit, hiding his face in the soft cotton of Daniel's shirt. Rain pattered like sledgehammers above them- Daniel realized it was hailing and groaned to think of the damage done to his bike. They stood like that for several minutes, waiting for the wind to die down and the sun to come back out. And in those few minutes Daniel could not have been happier. This was what it was all about- just sharing moments like these- even if it had to be in a dark and damp storm cellar. Something about the storm- the danger- the atmosphere seemed to spark something in both of the boys- Before either knew what was happening they were plundering each other's mouths- hands roaming- tugging at clothing- Daniel's mind was a blur as he felt Darren's small fingers undo the zipper of his fly- pull his boxers down to reveal his very erect cock. "Oh Dazza-." Daniel gasped, running his hands through Darren's silky locks- tangling in the soft curls. He let out a loud moan as Darren wrapped his mouth around his throbbing erection, sucking, nipping, pulling- The wind howled above them- Darren's house could be blowing away at the moment- but neither cared- Daniel was receiving the most incredible blowjob he had ever had in his life. It wasn't too long before Daniel was crying out Darren's name, coming so hard- wave after wave of hot come spilling down his companion's throat. Darren could barely catch it all- white seed spilled down from his mouth. Daniel gasped, collapsing into Darren's waiting arms, his mouth finding Darren's and let it stay there for quite a long time- taking a short break every now and then for air. Finally, the wind died down and it was safe to come out. Daniel didn't want to let Darren go, but they would have a lot to explain if someone checked to see if anyone was down there. Reluctantly, he let Darren go, standing to do up his jeans. Darren looked down at his blue shirt, which was stained with Daniel's seed. He licked his lips suggestively. Daniel couldn't help but plunder his mouth once more before setting a gentle kiss on Darren's forehead, "All right?" Darren nodded, looking sheepish, "Sorry- storms just give me the willies." Daniel chuckled, "Well- I don't like them much either- but if it's gonna turn out like this- I'd take a tornado every day." Darren smiled, looking shyly up under his lashes. "Come on love." Daniel took his hand, "let's go see what the storm left us." Darren lifted the latch, but not before Daniel gave him a gentle squeeze on his ass prompting the smaller boy to giggle. As they emerged back into the world Darren groaned. The pounding hail had left a significant amount of damage to the fields, "Papa's going to be so angry." Daniel patted his shoulder, "It'll be all right. At least your house is okay." Besides a few shingles missing and a shutter or two hanging on one hinge, his small house was fine. Daniel frowned when he didn't see his bike. Darren tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to the end of the yard prompting his companion to gasp, "Good Lord! My bike! My poor little bike." He hurried over and inspected the twisted scraps of metal that lay strewn across the damp grass. Squatting down he gripped half of a wheel, "My poor bike- you were so good to me." Giggling, Darren knelt down beside his love and wrapped his arms around him whispering in his ear, "You still got me." Daniel dropped the wheel and turned around to embrace Darren, "That, my love, I do- and I couldn't ask for anything more." Their lips met- velvet tongues fought for dominance until they heard voices in the distance. "Darren- darlin'- you all right baby?" Daniel smiled at the voice of Darren's mother. The two stood up and were greeted with his love's parents. "I'm fine mum." Darren ran a hand through his curly locks, "I locked the animals up papa." Darren's father nodded. He was a kind mind, but his worn face showed that life had not been the same towards him. "They'll be fine- it's the corn I'm worried about." Mr. Hayes sighed, "Gonna be a hard year." Nothing more to be said, he walked off towards the barn. Mrs. Hayes kissed her son's cheek, "If you're going out with Daniel make sure you're back in time for dinner." Darren nodded, then looked up at Daniel who shrugged, "Guess I better be getting home- hope my house is still there." Darren laughed, "If mine's still standing I'm sure yours will be fine." As was habit now, they quickly looked around to make sure no one was watching- then exchanged a loving kiss. "I love you baby." "Love you." Daniel smiled, the reply he lived for. Picking up his handlebars of his now deceased bicycle, he started his long journey home- It wasn't so bad- he'd walk a thousand miles to just catch a glimpse of his love- Even the tiniest exchange meant the world to him.
~Chapter Nine~
The stars shone brightly down upon his happy face as he rode his brand new bike down the pathway to Darren's house. "Jonesy!" Darren met him halfway to his front step, embracing him tightly. "Hey baby." Daniel dropped a kiss on his mouth, walking his bike to the porch and leaning it against the side. "Come on." The smaller boy eagerly tugged on his companion prompted Daniel to laugh. Closing the door behind him, Darren ushered his love into the kitchen where a clumsily wrapped gift and a small cake with a large candle sat waiting on the table. "Oh Dazza." Daniel smiled, touched by the small gesture of kindness. "I know it's not much." Darren frowned behind him. "Hey- just being with you on my birthday is enough." He paused to kiss his love passionately, "This is a little bonus." He peered over the cake and felt tears spring to his eyes. Daniel and Darren forever was written clumsily in red frosting surrounded by a big heart. "Oh Dazza- this is so sweet." Daniel embraced him, raining kisses on his love's face before settling on his lips- lingering there for quite a while before pulling away. Darren grinned, his full lips swollen and glistening from the kiss. He struck a match and lit the large blue candle, "Go on- make a wish." Daniel didn't have to think at all, his wish was that he and Darren wouldn't have to keep their relationship a secret and that they could live happily together with the world knowing. Maybe someday it could come true. Daniel blew the flame out, Darren smiled beside him. He looked like a little child at Christmas, so excited to see him. Daniel felt the same way. The small cake soon disappeared. After cleaning the dishes Darren pushed the brown paper tied with a bow towards his companion. Daniel attacked it, trying to get the ribbon off. "If you break a bow you have to kiss a boy." Darren smiled cheekily. With a wink, Daniel tore at the package, the ribbon breaking in two. "Oops- silly me- guess I'll have to kiss a boy." Daniel looked around, "Who should have the honor?" "Oh Danny." Darren giggled as he received an even longer kiss than the one before. Daniel returned to his previous task, ripping apart the paper to reveal a shiny red bike reflector. "Dazza! How'd you know I was going to get a new bike for my birthday?" "I asked your parents if you wanted anything special- they told me." "But I bet they didn't say what I really wanted." Daniel gathered Darren into his arms, "And guess what- I already got it." Darren chuckled, laying his head down upon Daniel's chest. Daniel ran his hands slowly up and down Darren's back. Finally, Darren picked his head up, "Danny- I- I haven't given you all of your presents yet." Daniel looked at him curiously, "Oh- what else is there love?" Darren slid off of Daniel's lap and took his hand, "Come with me." Daniel followed Darren upstairs to his room. The door was closed. "Wait here a minute." And his companion slipped inside leaving an anxious Daniel waiting. Finally, the door opened, Darren took Daniel's hand and led him into his tiny bedroom. Daniel gasped, "Darren! Oh God-." He was really at a loss for words. Candles cast a soft glow around them, the bed was turned down, a single rose lay on the pillow. And there was Darren, smiling so angelically as he picked up the rose. "Dazza- what is all this?" Daniel stepped inside, still shocked by the scene. "I-I know it's been so hard these pass few months." Darren seemed a little nervous." And I'm so glad you stuck by me. I-I wanted to show you how much I love you- how much you mean to me." He looked up, his sapphires sparkling so brilliantly, "I wanted to give myself- to you." Daniel was speechless. Never in his short life had anyone done something as sweet as this. It nearly brought him to tears. "Oh Dazza- this is so- wonderful. I can't even tell you how much this means to me." Darren beamed and stepped up to hug his companion, the rose falling onto the ground. Daniel just shook his head, "You're absolutely wonderful- you know that?" His companion blushed a little, "Not as wonderful as you." Enough words, Daniel pressed his lips against Darren's- not rough, but oh so gentle and tender. Ever so slowly he began to undress his love. This was a new step- but Daniel wasn't scared- it felt right- perfect really. Soon they stood, locked together in an embrace, feeling heated skin against skin. Daniel smiled and picked his love up, carrying him to the bed and gently lying him down. They weren't frantically groping each other- this wasn't just a quick fuck like Daniel's other partners had been. Soft and gentle- the love that radiated for each other was enough to warm even the coldest winter months. Daniel was touched beyond words. Darren was completely giving himself to his love- Daniel knew he was still a virgin- and it was such an honor that he was giving that sacred piece away to him. In thanks for that, Daniel wanted to give him the greatest pleasure he could. For Daniel too, it was like he was giving himself away to Darren. He'd never been with another man- this was a first for both of them- and they would share that wonderful experience, together. A few murmured 'I love you's mixed in between the gasps and moans of pleasure. "You have any lube?" Daniel asked, gently moving his hands along Darren's thighs. Darren shook his head, "I- I wanted to feel you- all of you- naturally." Daniel couldn't believe it, could his love become even more perfect then he already was? In response, he captured the smaller boy's mouth- tenderly plundering it with his tongue- "I love you- so much Dazza- never forget that." Darren smiled, shaking his head. A longing gaze, then Daniel's partner nodded, spreading his legs, leaving himself completely to his lover. Sapphires gleamed with trust and love, Daniel felt as if he were in heaven. Positioning himself, Daniel placed his hands on Darren's hips, another kiss, then, with the greatest care- he slowly penetrated Darren's opening. Darren gasped, squeezing his eyes shut- Daniel hated to see his love in pain- but he knew it would fade- "Shh- it's all right baby- shh." Daniel comforted as he pushed past the first ring- feeling Darren tense beneath him. He waited until the look of discomfort faded from his love's face- then he began to push again- a little deeper- past the second ring- stopping again- Darren swallowed hard, "I- I'm sorry- I didn't think it would- hurt so much." Daniel wanted to frown- but the moment was so incredibly intimate and special- there was no need- Finally- Daniel pushed all the way in until he was buried deep inside his love. Taking Darren into his arms, he tenderly kissed him- they lay there for eternity-just holding each other- relishing the fact that they were not only joined physically- but also in love- Daniel was surprised that his body was so calm. Normally he would be fucking his partner roughly- hurrying to get it over with. But not with Darren- Daniel wanted to stay like this forever- never lose this incredible moment- the greatest in all his life. Another tender kiss- Daniel began a slow- gentle rhythm- not too fast- not hurting- just as soft and tender as could be. And when the stars finally fell down from the sky- it could not have been more perfect. "Happy Birthday Daniel." Darren's sleepy voice whispered in his ear. Daniel nodded; he was crying- they both were. Holding on so protectively and loving- the two fell asleep- still joined as one- sealing a bond that would never be separated- no matter what.

A soft breeze blew in from the open window. Daniel lazily opened his eyes- blinking a few times- he glanced over next to him- and smiled. A perfect angel lay sleeping in his arms and he brushed back a few strands of blond hair that fell over that angel's youthful face- Darren stirred, two sapphires looked sleepy up at a pair of loving emeralds. "Good morning love." Daniel whispered, setting a kiss on his lips. Darren smiled broadly, "Good morning." Daniel grinned, wrapping his strong arms around his lover, gently moving his hand along Darren's back. They lay like that for a while longer- This was the way it was supposed to be, Daniel reasoned. He was supposed to be able to wake up in the morning and see his beautiful love in his arms. In a perfect world- that's the way it would be. In the real world, that's the way it should be.
~Chapter Ten~
The rake caught against the grass- the metal tongs twisting up- "Dammit." Daniel tugged on the wooden handle, "Why'd Jonathan have to go onto college- this is his job." He tugged harder, breaking the rake free, but also tearing up a hunk of grass out as well. "Dammit!" He threw the rake on the ground, stewing, Today was just not his day. He'd flunked his first test as a sophomore, was catching a cold because it was so damnably chilly for autumn, got in a fistfight with another guy for punching Darren and received double detention because of it. "Daniel! Dinner!" Daniel sighed, relieved he wouldn't have to rake up any more leaves at the moment. He plopped down exhausted at the dinner table. "Rough day honey?" "God- you could say that again mum." Daniel set his hat down next to his plate. Oliver smirked at him, "I'll say- nice fight you got in today Danny boy." Mrs. Jones handed a bowl of mashed potatoes to Daniel, "You got in a fight today?" "A real fist fight!" Oliver made a few punches in the air, "All because some kid punched out that stupid faggot." Daniel dropped his fork onto his plate as Mrs. Jones gasped. Mr. Jones's face once again peered around from the evening paper like it always did when something controversial was brought up. Oliver nodded, "That's right- it was so funny too! The stupid queer was just walking to class and this guy stuck his foot out in front of him. The little faggot fell flat on his face and then the guy picked the runt up by his collar and gave him the biggest shiner I've ever seen- I bet he broke his nose." Mr. Jones chuckled a bit, Daniel couldn't believe it- his anger was boiling dangerously high- Oliver didn't even notice, "If Danny hadn't run in and beat that guy up I bet the little faggot would've had the shit beat out of him- God Dan- what a stupid thing to do-." At that moment Daniel only saw red- jumping up he tackled Oliver to the floor- shaking him, hitting him, screaming and carrying on. It took both his parents to drag him off. "Jesus Christ Daniel- what the fuck's wrong with you?!" Oliver spat at him, brushing a hand against his split lip. "Don't you ever- I mean ever- call Darren a faggot again- you understand me?! You have no fucking right to call anyone that- God- Damn you! All of you!" To everyone's surprise he turned on his heels and throwing open the front door, marched out into the cool night air.

Daniel nearly ran Mrs. Hayes over when she let him in. "Can I see him? Is he all right?" "Daniel- darling- what are you doing here so late?" She tried to usher him over to the kitchen but Daniel shook his head. "Please mam- can I see Darren?" His love's mother sighed and with a slight nod she led him up the stairs to Darren's room. "He might still be asleep." She whispered as she quietly opened her son's bedroom door. "Darren- love- you have a visitor." At the sound of his name, Darren opened his one good eye, peering over the bed covers, "Jonesy!" Daniel came in with a nod towards his companion, waiting for the door to close and Mrs. Hayes to disappear downstairs. At the click of the lock Daniel was at Darren's side, kissing him all over his face, holding him closely against him. When they broke apart, Daniel still did not let go of him, "I'm so sorry- I'm so so sorry- I should've gotten there in time- God- I could just kill that bastard-." "Danny- it's all right." Darren smiled weakly; wincing a bit as Daniel tenderly ran a hand across Darren's right eye- black and swollen shut- "Does it hurt bad?" Darren shook his head, "It'll be okay," he grinned, "I had my knight in shining armor come rescue me." Daniel frowned, "I wanted to hold you- kiss you, let you know it was okay, but I couldn't- not with everyone looking around." "It's okay- shh." Darren placed a finger over Daniel's lips to quiet him, "it's over now- you're here with me- it's all right." Daniel nodded with a small smile, setting a gentle kiss on his love's forehead. Darren's brow furrowed, "Jonesy- what're you doing here so late?" Daniel wanted to tell him the whole story but refrained. Darren was hurting enough- he didn't need to know what his love's family thought. "Just checking to make sure you're okay." Daniel kissed him again. "Stay?" Daniel grinned, taking his love into his arms, rocking him to sleep. He didn't mean to, but he soon nodded off himself- Not waking until dawn.
