Opening Up by PrettyAngel

"I've gotta run - got a doctor's appointment in half an hour. I'll see you tomorrow, take care!" Jennifer Waite said in a rush, grabbing her purse and only stopping to hug her fellow bandmate Grant Wallis and producer Daniel and with that, she was out of the production room

"Bye Jenni," Grant said to the now-closed door.

Daniel chuckled and then said, "So mate, what ya up to now?"

Grant glanced at the blonde producer seated beside him before turning his eyes to the tv and flicking it on. "I dunno, no big plans tonight. You?"

"Well, none really," Daniel began as the tv droned on in the background. "I was thinking of maybe -," he stopped when the reporter on the television said, "Darren Hayes".

Grant looked at Daniel next to him again, watching his face for any sign of change. His nose wrinkled in disgust but other than that, the musician remained stonily still.

"Leonie Messer, former personal assistant to Savage Garden and now manager for Mr. Hayes's solo career, has issued her own statement, claiming that Mr. Jones was well aware of the band's demise. She further claims that that he himself quit the band when they were in Japan promoting the first single, 'I Knew I Loved You', off what would be their final album together, Affirmation." The chirpy reporter went on. The scene cut to a scene from the video, showing Darren holding hands in the darkened train with Kirsten Dunst.

Abruptly, Daniel reached over and grabbed the remote right out of where it sat on Grants lap, angrily turned the power off and carelessly letting it drop to the floor.

"I'm sorry," Grant spoke genuinely. "About all of this, the end of the band. I should've turned the tv off before instead of letting it go on." The dark-haired man's face pleaded for forgiveness, locking his eyes with Daniel's.

"It's ok. It's not your fault. You're not the one that broke the band up. You're not the one who is broadcasting this across Australia." Daniel spoke in a monotone.

"But I am the one that kept it on when I should've turned it off right away. And I am the one who's sitting next to you right now. Tell me Daniel, what's it like? What do you feel?"

"I was betrayed by someone who was once a close friend and is now letting stardom go to his head. Who the hell am I kidding - it's been going to his head!" Daniel was now pacing the room, running his ideally-suited-for-guitar-playing fingers through his hair.

"You want to know what it's like? Imagine your dad telling you Aneiki is over - that Jenni decided she couldn't be a partner anymore, oh no, she had to be the one in charge of everything now! Imagine having to talk to her and trying to be understanding when all you want to do is strangle her but you can't because you're calm, things arent supposed to upset you, oh no, they're just supposed to roll right off your back!"

Daniel turned and faced Grant now, his green eyes burning from his anger and frustration.

"Imagine wanting to let the world know what a bitch she is but you can't because you refuse to sell out someone who was once so much to you, even though you really should because she's sold you out! Imagine how all of that would feel to you and then get back to me!"

"I think I would feel like shit," Grant whispered, reaching out his arm to Daniel's shoulder to keep him there. "And I think I'd like someone to talk to me about it. I don't think I'd like to bottle it all in."

Daniel watched his hand slowly rubbing his shoulder. Suddenly, his face twisted into a smirk and he asked, "Tell me, you and Jenni aren't fucking, are you?"

Grant pulled his hand away abruptly, as if Daniel's shoulder was burning him. "No!" He exclaimed.

A moment's silence and then he asked, "Why does it matter, why do you care?"

Daniel's lips slid upwards again, his fangs showing in a mockery of a smile. "Because it fucks everything up and it hurts a thousand times more when its all over," he said simply.

Grant watched the former guitarist for a minute as what he had just said slowly sunk into his brain.

//Oh gads, he means - him and DARREN??!//

"You and Darren were lovers?" He asked cautiously.

"You might say that. For a while we were, until his Diva complex grew and we couldn't take it anymore. And then it was mindless fucks. And then it was nothing."

Grant's eyes widened, slowly taking it all in. Unconsciously, he took a step backwards, hitting a filing cabinet.

"I...had no idea," he whispered.

Once again, Daniel bared his fangs in a mockery of a smile.

"We were careful to keep it hidden. Whatcha think of all of this?"

Grant's mind was spinning, thoughts cobwebbing off into infinity; he said something that just happened to be floating through at the time.

"You're bi?"

"Well yes, I suppose I am. Never cared much for labels though, although I am more able to understand what I am than our dear Diva Darren is."

Grant's mind was spinning, this was not really happening. He was not having a conversation with his producer about his sexuality. So it was in that insanity that he walked two steps forward, grabbed Daniel's face and roughly kissed him on the lips.

Daniel did not resist, he immediately opened his mouth and pushed his tongue against Grant's lips, forcing them open. He slid his arms down Grant's back, roughly kneading his ass, pushing him closer against his taller body.

Grant tried to back away, unused to feeling another arousal rubbing against his own but Daniel only pulled him closer. His hands slid into Grants pants, going into his boxers to cup his dick roughly in his hands, squeezing it.

Grant moaned, unsure of what to do but any doubt he had about this seemed to be quickly fading as he felt himself grow against Daniels talented fingers.

Daniel pushed him against a soundboard, unintentionally causing Aneiki's music to filter through the soundproof room.

"I'm pleased to meet you," Jenni's honeyed voice sang out as Daniel quickly unzipped Grant's jeans and pulled his boxers down.

Stepping back a minute, Daniel quickly unzipped his own pants and pulled his boxers off his hips. Then he slipped one of those ever-so-long fingers into Grant's mouth.

"Suck it like you wanna suck my cock," he whispered, half-insane himself with the need to let all the pain out.

Grant obeyed his request, sucking harder and harder until abruptly Daniel slipped his fingers out and drew his hand down, blindingly searching until he found Grants hole. He slipped one finger inside the other man's body, watching as he closed his eyes, his face creased in pain and the very-beginnings of pleasure. He quickly added another finger, and then another until he was satisfied. Withdrawing them, he rubbed his precum over his cock until he was satisfied with that too.

Pushing Grant further down on the keys, he lifted his legs until they were wrapped against his own waist and then he stepped closer and guided his cock inside that place which it had missed so much.

He started slow, watching as Grant alternatively opened his eyes wide and then squeezed them shut. When he was entirely inside of him, he slowly withdrew and then roughly banged back into him. He continued to build faster and faster, at first watching Grants face change from pain into pure pleasure and then he closed his eyes himself, caught up in memories of doing this to Darren, of having it done to him by the Diva. Daniel pushed his shirt and Grant's up some, hoping not to completely soak them when they came and then he instinctively gripped Grant's cock in a choke-hold, jerking him off as he entered him.

Over and over it went until Grant gasped out, "Dan oh I'm gonna," and then Daniel gripped him tighter, slammed in harder until he was outpouring his release into Grant's body, dimly aware of his stomach being coated in Grant's cum.

Daniel withdrew and reached a hand backwards for the box of tissues on the desk behind him. He wiped his cock off and then his stomach and then finally Grant's.

Grant spoke hoarsely, "Well at least something's not bottled in ya anymore," unsure of what else to say.

Daniel looked up from rezipping his pants and smiled a crooked grin, "Something's out of me, got that right."

"No more left in you?" Enquired Grant as he too began pulling his own pants up.

"Depends. You want there to be more?"

Grant shrugged as he switched the soundboard off.

"Maybe. Do you?"

Daniel smiled, a true smile this time as he walked to the door.

"Why don't you go out for a drink with me and we can discuss it?"

Grant smiled too as he shut the light off and hurried to catch up to Daniel.

"Slow down Daniel, I'm coming!"
