You know everything that I'm afraid of

Scene 1: Dan and Darren talking late at night, side by side in bed in their one-bedroom apartment in Sydney. Both look younger. There are relaxed smiles on both faces. This is obviously two friends who are comfortable with each other.

Scene 2: Shots of Darren. Giving interviews. Giving press conferences. Practicing yoga. Writing lyrics. In all of them, he looks relaxed and confident.

Everybody wants you, everybody loves you

Scene 3: Fans screaming for Darren during concerts. Fans screaming for him after the show as the band walks to the busses. Darren and Dan walking down a street and a fan sees him and screams for him.

I know I should tell you how I feel
And I wish everyone would disappear

Scene 4: Shots of Darren and Dan together. In all of them, someone is always with them. It's clear that they are never alone together.

Scene 5: Darren in his house, calling Dan in his. Dan is sitting on a couch. He listens to Darren with a smile lighting his face up. Dan is acting different, not the Dan he usually is. He's trying to be upbeat, happy but something is bothering him.

"Darren, I..." He starts to say.

"What Jonesy?" Darren smiles into the phone, wondering what Danny has to say.

Daniel loses his nerve. "I..umm...never mind. I forgot. What were you saying about the new Star Wars movie?"

And the conversation begins again, as if that little exchange had never happened.

Scene 6: A flash of photos. Darren and Daniel on-stage in concert. In interviews together. On the covers of magazines. Walking down a street together. Writing a song together. The two of them laughing over things in different places, a tour bus, a hotel room, someones house. Darren dropping to his knees in front of Daniel during 'Break Me Shake Me' in concert. Darren standing behind Daniel, with an arm on him, during the piano part of a concert, just the two of them on-stage.

Scene 7: Darren is sitting on Daniel's couch, crying as Daniel sits next to him and frowns in worry.

"I don't know where it all went wrong but all I know is that Colby and I aren't together anymore and I just don't know what to do. I love her so much, or I did. I dunno." Darren gasps out between sobs as he cries harder.

"Oh Darren, it will be alright. Somehow you'll make it through." Daniel whispers to him as he moves closer to Darren and envelopes him in a tight hug. "Things will be ok again one day," he reassures his best friend, the words dropping gently from his lips into Darren's ear because his face is practically nuzzling the side of Darren's face.

Daniel opens his mouth, as if he is going to say something but then closes it before he does so.

Darren never notices because he can't see his face.

Scene 8: Darren and Daniel are in Darren's bedroom. Daniel is helping Darren choose an outfit for his date as Darren walks around the room, moving his hands as he gushes.

"She's just the most incredible girl, really beautiful. And she's intelligent and is independent, self-assured without being overly so. I know we just met a few weeks ago but I feel really hopeful about this. And oh my god, is she a kisser. Her tongue, her lips are so incredible and I do mean that in more than on my mouth."

Darren abruptly changes direction and checks out his reflection in a floor-length mirror, making funny faces. He doesn't notice Daniel standing behind him, watching him with a sad, wistful smile on his face.

Scene 9: Again a flash of photos. Sometimes it's just the two of them and sometimes it's them and others. Both of them always smiling in them.

But there's no one to talk to
Nobody knows I've got a crush on you
A crush on you, I got a crush

Scene 10: Ben and Daniel sitting by next to each other during a break of the band's rehearsals. Daniel turns his head and sees Darren and his new girlfriend talking to Leonie and the girls. Darren is resting his head on her shoulder. Ben turns his head towards where Daniel is looking and says, "They sure are great together, aren't they?"

Daniel sighs and replies, "Yeah, they are," with a faraway look in his eye.

Scene 11: The band is relaxing together in someone's hotel room, laying on beds and sitting on the floor, movies, drinks and food spread out around them. Ben suddenly wrinkles his nose and then Lee next to him wrinkles his nose. Everyone starts wrinkling their nose until the smell reaches Darren and then he plugs his nose with a finger and exclaims, "Whew, who let out that stink-o of a fart?!"

The band laughs. Darren is the only one who would have acknowledged the smell out loud.

Focus in on Daniel. He is laughing and shaking his head, smiling at Darren. He is happy but there is a look in his eyes, that he wants more but can't say it.

Scene 12: Darren and Daniel writing songs in Daniel's home.

Darren abruptly jumps up and begins pacing the room, running his fingers through his hair as he does so. "This is so hard, Jonesy. Maybe it's too intimate. I'm feeling too much right now."

Daniel stands and stops him, resting his hands on his shoulders and staring deep into his azure eyes. "This is fantastic Darren, simply fantastic work. Try not to worry so much about what people think. People may tell you that you feel too much, but I don't care!"

Darren stares at him, unsure of what to say, before breaking into a smile and pulling Daniel into a warm embrace. "Thank you, I needed to hear that," he whispers, his face finally content.

Scene 13: More photos. Darren and Daniel smiling at each other. Hugging each other throughout the years, from Red Edge to the final hug at Cape Town.

Scene 14: More photos but this time they are slowed down. Shot of Daniel smiling at Darren. Shot of Darren watching Daniel play his guitar in a band rehearsal. His face looks as if he just saw Daniel, or maybe he saw something different this time. Shot of the backside of Darren and Daniel walking down a street. Their arms are slung across each other and theyre walking off into a sunset. The picture stays there for a few seconds before the screen fades to black.
